Reversed Phase Sample Prep

Reversed phase chromatographic sample prep tools can be used to desalt, purify, and concentrate peptide and protein molecules from sample solutions. Biological molecules adsorb onto the reversed phase media based on hydrophobic interactions with the organic ligands on the bead surfaces. Samples are typically loaded onto the reversed phase sample prep tools in an aqueous buffer solution. Subsequent aqueous rinses are used to desalt and clean up the adsorbed analytes. Recovery of the concentrated and purified peptides/proteins is accomplished with an organic elution solution. Several different chemistries are available for reversed phase sample preparation:
