protea biosciences

Protea Biosciences is an innovative bioanalytics technology organization offering Mass Spectrometry Imaging and LC-MS services focused on protein characterization, proteomics, metabolomics, and small molecule analysis. Using state-of-the-art instrumentation including high resolution, accurate mass (HRAM) mass spectrometry systems, MALDI, and the LAESI®DP-1000 Direct Ionization System, Protea supports researchers’ projects by providing information to accelerate drug discovery and development. Our infrastructure and workflows enable the identification, quantification, characterization, and spatial distribution of biomolecules such as proteins, metabolites, and lipids from biological matrices. Protea’s analyses include proprietary sample preparation methods, method development, and data analysis. Our customers use this molecular information to achieve their study objectives in the fields of pharmaceutical, clinical, academic, and industrial research. Protea offers a line of mass spectrometry standards and protein sample preparation products which include Progenta Acid Labile Surfactants, Ultrapure MALDI Matrices and mass spec grade protein standards.

please read if you are planning on researching our selection of Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. Muscle growth and fat loss without the risk is the promise of selective androgen receptor modulators, or SARMs, steroid alternatives that are advertised as ‘legal steroids’ or, in certain cases, dietary supplements. However, they are not as harmless as these marketing messages suggest. Some people have suffered from liver toxicity and other life-threatening reactions after ingesting products containing SARMs, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which has not yet approved their use, as they are the focus of ongoing clinical trials.
These drugs also have the potential to raise the risk of strokes and heart attacks. The effects of prolonged use are largely unknown. Some online vendors further muddy the waters by offering products that contain a mix of SARMs and other ingredients, some of which are also unapproved and just as problematic. For instance, according to a study titled ‘Chemical Composition and Labeling of Substances Marketed as Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators and Sold via the Internet’ published on JAMA in November 2017, 39 percent of 44 products marketed as SARMs also included another unsanctioned drug in their formulation. Nine percent did not have any SARMs, 25 percent contained ingredients not indicated on the label, while 59 percent had SARMs levels that differed from what was listed on the label. And because most users typically combine SARMs with other supplements and drugs, it can be hard to pin down the effects of these substances with precision.
Some users become more irritable, develop acne, and experience a diminished desire for sex, but it is difficult to determine if these problems are caused by SARMs, other ingredients, or the interaction between substances used in a product. However, two problems – progressively worse cholesterol profiles and higher levels of liver enzymes, an indicator of heightened pressure on the organ – often crop up among regular users of SARMs, according to Dr. Thomas O’Connor, founder of MetabolicDoc and author of ‘America on Steroids – A Time to Heal.’ These risks do not seem to have diminished the appetite for SARMs. Thaddeus Owen, owner of the PrimalHacker website and a self-proclaimed biohacker has been using SARMs since 2016 in combination with an exercise and diet regimen to expedite the muscle-building process; he claims to have added five pounds of muscle in just four weeks. Despite that, Owen warns that using SARMs is remarkably risky, as so little is known about using them over the long term. These sentiments are echoed by the FDA and Dave Asprey of the Bulletproof blog. Owen’s actions and comments aptly capture the paradox of SARMs, which were developed decades ago to counteract age-related decline in muscle mass and strength. Unlike androgenic and anabolic steroids, which can restore the bloom of youth but at the risk of cardiovascular problems and other serious side effects, SARMs potentially offer the same benefits with fewer adverse reactions. This is because SARMs are more selective – thus the name – narrowly focusing on skeletal muscles. In contrast, steroids affect a broad range of body tissues, increasing the potential for problems.
Protea Biosciences uses some of the most advanced equipment with state of the art machines and analytical techniques to further prolong the duration and authenticity of studies conducted. It is important to note that much of our research has incorporated due diligence with various companies. With donations from our sponsors we are able to conduct some of the most high tech and forward thinking analysis of current scientific advancements. Studying the online presence of various pharmacy entities has given us a clear knowledge of how to attack and approach many complex medicinal systems. Protea Biosciences has scoured through various online resources for detailed and up-to-date information, notably modapharma.org™ for it’s groundbreaking understanding of sleep medicine and biological proteins (specific enzymes) which control the circadian rhythm and much of what the general population is seeking with regards to sleep. Proteins involved in modulation in conjunction with various narcolepsy formulations were analysed in vitro to ascertain the affinity and efficacy for multiple biological markers controlling the proteins used in alertness and fatigue associated with excessive daytime sleep. With modern computer modelling, we can now create a system for identifying the neurological pathways associated with import medicines for controlling wakefullness, such as the processes studied with Modalert® and other common medicinal compounds associated with sleep conditions.
